FUTURESTATES: 11 scenario films about the future of America
Check out FUTURESTATES, a well-crafted and intriguing series of online short films imagining 11 different scenarios of what America might be like in 5, 25 or 50 years. Launched in March 2010 by the Independent Television Service and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the films cover such themes as video games, global warming, genetically modified crops, androids and immigration.
The Independent Television Service and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting previously backed the 2007 online alternate reality game World Without Oil - games guru Jane McGonigal’s ground-breaking experiment in online crowd-source scenario-building.
